Jackie started her professional career in catering after gaining her City & Guilds Certificates in 1979 at Southport Technical College. She then worked in a busy family run restaurant gaining valuable experience in maintaining high levels of customer service as a Restaurant Manager. After 4 years, she moved to Birmingham and in 1983 set up her own catering business, which she successfully ran for 11 years.
Jackie then decided to utilise her organisational and business skills by taking up a key role within a large multi-national utilities company. She quickly progressed through to Call Centre Team Leader. It was during this time that she studied for the NEBS Supervisory Management Certificate, which resulted in her being promoted to take up a pivotal role on the National Community Project assisting clients with energy saving measures in their homes. Jackie flourished in this role because it allowed her to fully utilise her organisational skills, ability to listen and empathise with people, particularly clients who were in vunerable circumstances and sometimes terminally ill people.
Jackie brings a rich blend of business acumen and customer care to the team. She is very much a people person, with a natural empathy for the needs and feelings of others. Jackie has a talent for very quickly identifying and implementing practical ways to solve problems for people.
